The Combi Lifting Tool is the main piece of IQIP's Combi Lifting Spread and is the connection between the crane and the tools used in offshore operations. The Combi Lifting Tool remains connected to the crane hook throughout the offshore operation, allowing for limited rigging operations and fewer people on deck.
Bright Engineering did the detail engineering of the Combi Lifting Tool. The lifting capacity is 3000t and this Combi Lifting Tool is provided with a bearing allowing the load to be rotated around the vertical axis of the lifting tool.
The Combi Lifting Tool is provided with a ring of latches around the circumference. These latches connect underneath the flange of the sockets that are connected to the different pieces of equipment, creating a fail-safe lift and allowing each tool to be connected and used quickly and efficiently.
